On this lazy Saturday afternoon I decided to do a beauty post for you all. I can’t believe December is ending so quickly, it seemed like only yesterday I was buying presents and setting up my little pink christmas tree. Today I wanted to share a few of my favorite beauty products this month. I will review each product one by one below with links where you can buy everything if you are interested.
Maybelline matte and pore less foundation:
This has been a staple foundation for me since a few days before thanksgiving. I have been using Maybelline products for years, but the specific shade pictured is something I recently picked up. I hate when my foundation looks so much darker than my actually skin tone, and I found that the matte and pore less foundation suits my skin tone well and prevents transfer residue.
*Applause* This little sponge is a miracle worker. I have tried many a brush and makeup applicator before finally settling on this baby for my makeup routine. The applicator is tipped at the bottom for concealer and has a sort of plateau edge on the top which makes it perfect for foundation, blush, bronzer, and what ever other product you can think of. I have a simple routine that usually just consists of lipstick, foundation, mascara, and blush but if you are into the whole Kardashian contouring shenanigans, then its great for that too.
Eos lip balm: I cannot stress how much I love this product enough! I have been using Eos since my freshman year and it never fails to make my lips chap free and super soft. I don’t use a lot of other chapsticks because of how fond I am of the Eos brand.
Mac Lipstick in Twig:
This Lipstick was given to me by my aunt and is sadly diminishing day by day. It is that perfect rosy color with a hint of raspberry that makes it fantastic for day to night wear. I usually put this on for class and mix it with a deeper red when I go out.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
This Mascara is literally amazing. It not only gives my lashes a deep noir look, but it curls them too! I rarely wear eyeliner because of the shape of my eyes and this mascara makes it look like I have it on. It shapes my long eyelashes into a swift cat-eye shape and minimizes my eye makeup to a minimum.
Maybelline Plush Mascara
Not much to say about this one… I usually layer it along with my Benefit mascara to make my lashes seem fuller in shape.
~Bath and Body Works fresh sparkling snow lotion~
This smells absolutely delightful. I received this as a birthday gift from one of my best friends. It smells like fresh snow, vanilla, and cookies all mixed together. Ugh so yummy.
* A side note: I love makeup. I like the process of putting it on, and trying new products. It doesn’t define me.I feel just as confident with a bare face then I do with a freshly made up one. I don’t want anyone thinking that they need makeup to feel good about themselves. Beauty is skin deep, no matter how much effort you put on the outside it doesn’t change, who you are on the inside. I wanted to make this clear to my readers. I love you guys and want you to love yourselves as well*
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you guys have a great rest of your day.
