Today I wanted to share my skin care routine with you guys. I used to have terrible breakouts. It started the first year of freshman year. After using countless skin care products that with hefty promises…and sometimes prices, I finally settled on a solid routine that cleared up my skin in record time. I have been using the Proactive 3 step system for the past year and I’m absolutely in love. Although I’m super happy with them now, I wasn’t always in the past. I’ve had a battle with their system for years. Sometimes it would work for me, and other times it would make things worse… After some thought, I decided to take the leap and try it again. The boy was I happy. Their new system worked wonders for my skin and now I’m confident with wearing no makeup once in a while. Now to dive deeper into the products…
Skin Smoothing Exfoliator: This is a cleansing face wash that is supposed to go deep and scrub your face clean of all the toxic yucky stuff that gets trapped in your skin during the day. It has these cute little beads that make the scrubbing part easy(and fun!)
Pore Targeting Treatment: I’m not sure exactly what this does to your skin, but you’re supposed to leave it on for 2-5 minutes or so. I usually put this on and wait for it to dry while I brush my teeth.
Complexion Perfecting Hydrator: This acts as a moisturizer. As the last step, it makes my skin so incredibly soft. This would have to be my favorite part of the system.
That’s it for my skin-care routine! Now I have a couple of my favorite tips for getting healthy skin.
Tip #1: DRINK WATER!
Oh gosh, this is such an important one. Your skin thrives on hydration, so if you’re lacking H20 your skin will definitely reflect it. I’m not a health specialist so I can’t recommend an exact amount of water you should shoot for, but a cup or so at every meal and more when you work out should do you some good:)
Tip #2: Eat and Drink Healthily
Try to avoid sugary drinks and a ton of fried and fatty foods…that stuff clogs your pores and makes it easy for toxins to ruin your skin. Opt for fruits, veggies, and lightly sweetened beverages. I’m not saying to cut out sugar and junk food all together…just eat it with moderation.
That’s it for today’s post dolls! I hope you all have a great rest of your day:)
